After your first chelation treatment, you will be provided with a provocation urine test for heavy metals. This test will measure levels of heavy metals excreted through the urine.

Your doctor will determine a chelation schedule with EDTA, DMPS, or both based on your test results and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.

  • Chelation therapy is considered safe when administered with proper training. It is not a new or upcoming treatment. EDTA has been used medically since the 1950s to remove lead, arsenic, and other toxic metals from the body. At Pure Health, our naturopathic doctors are trained to safely administer chelation therapy.

  • Chelation therapy is administered intravenously. Each session lasts about 45-60 min.

  • Some people will need 20-40 treatments to completely detox heavy metals from their body. This varies depending on the severity of heavy metal toxicity and treatment goals.

  • Our chelation protocol includes a series of EDTA, DMPS, or both over several weeks. We take it a step further and also include our Pure Restore infusions to help remineralize the body in between chelation treatments.
